The Narrative
The volcanic mountain landscapes of the Gayo highlands in Aceh and the North Sumatra regions provide nutrient-rich andosol soil for the cultivation of high-quality Arabica and Robusta varieties at altitudes ranging from 1,000 to 1,700 meters above sea level. The process begins with natural land management and rigorous selective picking (red cherry harvesting) to ensure optimal fruit maturity before entering the unique Sumatran post-harvest processing stage known as wet-hulling (giling basah). This processing technique produces a coffee profile characterized by a heavy body, low acidity, and the distinct earthy and spicy aromas highly sought after in the international market. After being dried to a stable moisture content of 12%, the coffee beans undergo precise mechanical and manual sorting to remove defects and achieve Grade 1 quality standards. This entire sequence of technical data and product documentation is then integrated into a digital format as a modern showcase that ensures transparency and enhances the competitive value of Sumatran coffee in the global export market.

The Processing
A Farmer meticulously selects coffee cherries that have reached optimal maturity, ensuring that only those with the highest sugar content are placed into the collection bin
The selective harvesting or "red cherry picking" stage at a highland plantation
Manual grinding of coffee beans
Within this processing facility, workers meticulously sort the beans to separate high-quality coffee bean from impurities, broken beans, or those that do not meet size specifications
Before being packed into the sacking, the coffee beans are first wrapped in a special food-grade plastic layer. This layer acts as a moisture barrier, preventing oxidation and mold growth while the container is at sea.
Following a rigorous manual sorting process, selected bean samples are vacuum-sealed,, to maintain moisture stability and aromatic integrity. These samples are then submitted to a testing laboratory for comprehensive analysis,
